this soup is so easy to make and it's so
creamy and delicious perfect to the side
of grilled cheese melt one stick of
butter in a medium-sized saucepan and
then dice an onion and throw that in
saute it for about five to seven minutes
then add in about a teaspoon of Italian
seasoning next dump in two 28-ounce cans
of diced tomatoes mix well and then
bring to a boil once it comes to a boil
then reduce heat and simmer for about
twenty minutes and then it's time to
blend I use a hand blender this time and
just was careful not to let it pop out
of the liquid or else it would splatter
around the kitchen last time I used my
ninja and that works too but whenever
you're putting hot liquids into that
type of blender you just have to make
sure you don't seal it off or it could
kind of explode be sure to leave the
vent open and just cover that with a
towel the last step is heavy cream I
added about one cup but you can add
either more or less depending on how
creamy you want it that's it it's ready
to go
we love to top with the teeny bit of
mozzarella cheese and maybe some fresh
basil of course as the perfect side we
always have to make grilled cheese to go
with it

Perfect served with a side of grilled cheese. 🍞 🧀 Creamy Tomato Soup 6-8 servings 1 stick butter 🧈 1 med onion, diced 🧅 1 tsp Italian seasoning 🧂 2, 28-oz cans diced tomatoes 🍅 1 cup heavy cream 🥛 🐮 (more or less, depending on how creamy you like it!) Melt butter, and sauté onion 5-7 min. Add Italian seasoning and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Mix in heavy cream, and serve! Top with a bit of mozzarella cheese and fresh basil if you like!
